Nursery & Garden Industry Australia

Nursery & Garden Industry Australia (NGIA) is the peak body for the nursery and garden industry in Australia and is responsible for overseeing the national development of the industry.

This includes:

  • Liaising with the federal government departments and authorities on relevant industry issues;
  • Working with Horticulture Australia Limited (HAL) to determine industry marketing and research and development (R&D) initiatives as well as levy funding priorities;
  • Acting as a service provider of industry projects funded by the Nursery industry levy and HAL;
  • Providing strategic direction and leadership to the industry;
  • Ensuring communication of relevant industry information; and
  • Working with the state and territory associations.

NGIA, and each of the state and territory associations, represent and provide all sectors of the industry including producers, wholesalers, retailers, allied traders and consultants with the tools, strategies and insight to ensure a sustainable and profitable future.
