"I can’t speak more highly of my experience in winning the 2011 National Young Leader award. It has created exposure beyond the industry, I was pleasantly surprised to be featured on the front page of the careers section of the Daily Telegraph and within the Inner West Courier. It has led  to a deeper understanding of the industry and provided opportunities to actively contribute on a number of occasions. The award is also about continuing development evident by a number of training workshops organized by the NGIA to the benefit of all national young leader entrants. I would encourage all employers to consider this award, just nominating someone is a powerful way to reward them and show recognition for their great work (even if they don’t win) and will bring positive publicity to any business."

2011 Young Leader Winner, Ken Bevan of Alpine Nurseries NSW
